ZIMBABWE POWERLIFTING

Lift4Life began in Zimbabwe, and is the location where we have had the most impact and expansion.

To date, we have built 5 community gyms in Harare and hosted dozens of workshops throughout the country. We are continuously working with local leaders to expand our programs, community impact, and sustainability.

Beyond just accessible spaces, our impact extends in the community as well. We have sponsored school fees for over 175 youth lifters, supporting both their academics and athletics. We have sponsored 16 First Aid / Sports Certification Courses for lifters under the Zimbabwe Sports and Recreation Commission. We have sponsored 14 International competitors, including participation at the 2017 Commonwealth Championships, 2018 & 2019 African Arnolds, and 2019 African Championships. Competitors were athletes from marginalized communities in Zimbabwe, were of various genders, and of all ages. Additionally, 25+ Community Meets have been hosted in Zimbabwe fostering community connection and wellbeing.
